Drew’s Background

With a strong background in early childhood education and youth development, I bring a passion for creating environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. Over the past six years, I have worked as a Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher developing meaningful classroom experiences that promote learning, confidence, and positive social connections through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.

I am state-certified with a state Initial and Short Certificate from SPSCC in Early Childhood, as well as a state-certified foster parent, giving me a unique understanding of the importance of early childhood relationships, consistency, and nurturing support. These experiences have strengthened my ability to recognize the individual needs of children and provide compassionate care that supports their emotional, social, and developmental growth.

My experience extends beyond the classroom through roles as an after-school program lead and YMCA Volunteer, where I have created and coordinated activities that encourage creativity, connection, and memorable experiences for children and families. I have also served as a community board representative for a youth sports organization and as a Head Coach, helping children develop teamwork, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance.

I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children by providing guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to discover their strengths. I believe every child deserves a caring environment where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
