Payton’s Background
With a degree in Early childhood Education and eight years of hands in a classroom, I have dedicated my career to helping young children build confidence, develop new skills, and discover a love of learning. My experience as an Assistant Teacher, Lead Teacher, and Preschool Teacher has given me the opportunity to work closely with children of varying ages and developmental stages, supporting their growth through meaningful learning experiences and positive relationships.
I believe children learn best when they feel valued, encouraged, and engaged. My approach focuses on creating a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, independence, and social-emotional growth while helping children develop the foundational skills needed for future success.
In addition to my classroom experience, I have contributed to maintaining safe and supportive learning environments through facility maintenance coordination and risk assessment planning. These responsibilities have strengthened my commitment to ensuring children can learn and explore in spaces that prioritize their well-being.
Outside of education, I have spent several years coaching youth sports as both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach. Coaching has reinforced the importance of teamwork, communication, perseverance, and leadership—qualities I strive to instill in every child I work with.
I am passionate about supporting children's development and helping them build the confidence, skills, and character that will serve them throughout their educational journey and beyond.
